About myself and the “team”

As stated my name is Neil and I am a Gas Safe registered boiler service and repair specialist, my Gas Safe registration number is 965099.

I am fully qualified and insured to work on domestic natural gas boilers.

I have spent a large proportion of my career working as an electrician repairing and maintaining industrial automated control systems.

Now I spend most of my time repairing and maintaining domestic natural gas combination, system and heat-only boilers.

I am a sole trader but currently work as a Duo of sorts. Most of the time you will get myself(Neil) to service or repair your boiler.

My son and colleague Rich is also an independent, fully insured Gas Safe registered heating engineer, with almost 15 years experience as a heating industry professional.

At times depending on how busy I am, my availability and the size and nature of a job, you may get two of us or just myself.

If I am too busy to handle a job that only requires one pair of hands, then I will refer you to Rich, who may be able to help depending on his own availability.

Either way you will get someone who is insured, qualified and Gas Safe registered to solve any problem you may have with your boiler or heating system.

Boilers we work on

We work mainly on Vaillant, Worcester, Baxi, Potterton and Ideal boilers and most of their derivatives.

Of the boilers we currently work on we have the most experience working on the Vaillant ecoTEC, and Worcester Greenstar range of boilers, and most of the spares we carry are for these boilers.

Of the Vaillant boilers, we work mainly on the ecoTEC range of boilers, with the exception of some of the derivatives of ecoTEC model.

Of the Worcester Bosch boilers, we work mainly on the Greenstar range of boilers, with the exception of some of the Greenstar models.

Of the Baxi boilers, we work mainly on the Duo-Tec and Platinum models of combination boilers.

Of the Potterton boilers, we work mainly on the and Promax HE combination boiler models, and the Potterton Promax system HE Plus system boiler models.

The Potterton boilers are essentially the same as the Baxi models.

Of the Ideal boilers, we work mainly on the Ideal Logic and Ideal Vogue models and some of their derivatives with the exception of some of them.

Areas we cover

We are based in Wath Upon Dearne, Rotherham and cover a large part of South Yorkshire including most of Rotherham, Barnsley and Sheffield.

How much we charge

The cost to service or repair your boiler is generally going to be determined by the boiler make and model, its age, what parts it needs and how long it is going to take to service or repair.

If your boiler requires a repair and you would an estimate as to how much your boiler may end up costing, the best thing to do is give us a call.

When it comes to boiler repairs, generally we would need anything up to an hour or so to make a thorough assessment of your boiler and determine exactly what parts it needs, and how much time will be needed to carry out the repair.

At this point we are generally able to provide you with an exact figure or very close estimate as to what the repair might cost.

In general we work on a rate of £60 per hour for domestic properties and £80 an hour for commercial properties.

Why use us to repair your boiler?

For a start we’re Gas Safe registered, extensively trained on the boilers we typically work on, and we carry most of the common parts for the boilers we work on.

Also we won’t rip you off, once we’ve made a thorough assessment of your boiler, we will know exactly what parts it needs and how long it will take to repair.

At this point we can provide you with an exact repair price or close estimate, and assuming you’re happy to go ahead then we can get to work getting your boiler up and running again.

We won’t condemn your boiler after 20 minutes of scratching our chins, and trying to look like we know what we’re doing! We only condemn boilers if they’re dangerous or beyond economical repair. Even then, reluctantly!
